Our podiatry treatments
From routine nail trimming, treatment of corns and callus, to help with more complex needs such as ingrowing toenails or heel and foot pain, we will provide foot care you need.
We are even able to offer some of the latest and most advanced treatment options to help you manage your foot pain.
Routine chiropody/podiatry
This is the option for the routine care of your feet and treatment of common problems: from the removal of corns and hard skin (callus) to the conservative treatment of verrucae and ingrowing toenails, or advice on the management of fungal infections.
Advanced musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment
You may have a mechanical or structural problem in the lower limb that our specialists can investigate for you , Our assessent will provide you with a diagnosis, a plan and a review and help get you pain free.
Shockwave therapy
Shockwave Therapy is the use of mechanical shockwaves applied through the affected tissues to encourage a healing response and reduce musculoskeletal pain.
Local anaesthetic and nail surgery
If you have had ongoing or recurrent pain from ingrowing nails, or if you feel that a nail is badly damaged or deformed you might consider Nail Surgery to remove the problematic nail. It is a simple procedure under a local anaesthetic where your Podiatrists will remove all or part of the nail and then apply a chemical to prevent regrowth of the nail.
Bespoke casted orthoses
Orthoses are medical insoles that fit into your footwear and are prescribed following your MSK assessment. By improving the mechanical function of the foot and ankle we can manage and reduce the symptoms and pain that you have been experiencing.
Verruca needling
Verrucae are a frustrating but usually benign lesion. They are caused by a virus and as a result quite unpredictable in the way they respond to treatments. Needling is a simple procedure designed to disrupt the virus, create a strong inflammatory response and enhance your body’s ability to target the lesion.
Ultrasound guided steroid injection
Steroid injections are used in Podiatric medicine to treat a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders. A corticosteroid medication can be injected into or around a joint, tendon, or ligament and is used to relieve pain, swelling and inflammation.
Diagnostic ultrasound
Diagnostic Ultrasound provides live images of the structure of the foot and ankle. We can look at changes in the tissues, and areas of damage or swelling in order to help us understand your condition and the symptoms or pain that you are experiencing.
Vascular (Blood Supply) assessment of the lower limb using doppler/ABPI/Kardia
