Corns and callus

Corns and callus form as a protective response by the skin to rubbing and pressure against a bone, shoe or the ground.  The skin becomes progressively thicker, harder and dryer.  With corns and callus, your feet can become increasingly painful and if untreated more serious problems can develop.

It is not advisable to cut corns yourself, especially if you are elderly or have diabetes. Your Podiatrist will be able to remove corns and callus painlessly.  Although corns and callus usually develop again over time your Podiatrist will advise how you can best manage your footcare to keep you as comfortable as possible.

If you have and questions about your routine footcare please call us or book your Routine Treatment online.
